~In the Care of Angels
The risk of mortality is to have given your heart.
To someone you trust and have it broken apart.
To never have loved is a horrible fate.
For we have been born to love and not to hate.
As we pick and we choose to whom we will talk.
Hoping our partner can really walk the walk.
How does one know if our time is wisely spent?
Is the person a player, and can they pay their rent?
Life experience can certainly skew our view.
In matters of the heart, what can one do?
Countless hours have been spent on bended knee.
I search for the love that was promised to me.
I hold to my faith, and whisper a prayer.
I will search for my friend and a life I will share.
Into the arms of Angels I will commend my heart.
Until I meet my Love, I will do my part.
