There is a Green Hill.

~There is a Green Hill…

There is a Green Hill far away,
That I long to see.
To give my thanks and Love to Him,
Who gave His life for me.

I do not know, I can not tell…
Just how my Bosom swells.
As I thirst, then I Drink,
From His Eternal Well.

There was none other, who could do…
The things which He has done.
The Battle was fought, the Price was paid,
To Ransom Me and You.

Oh, how clearly He has Loved,
And saved us from our sin.
I shall Love and Worship him,
He is my Brother Beloved.

  1. I had these thoughts this Sunday in Church as we sang the Sacrament Hymn. Overwhelming gratitude for the sacrifice made in my behalf prompted this in thankfulness for the price that was paid.
