Numerology

~Numerology

God has been called the Master Mathematician.  Everything in the Universe is precise and calculated.  I enjoyed the TV series titled, numbers.  It showed me how numbers play a crucial part in our lives.  I don’t know why I woke this morning with this thought on my mind but I decided to take a look at numerology today and focus on two words, both have four letters.  Love and Hate.  Love is the twelfth letter of our alphabet. Hate is the eighth.

First let us consider the significance of the number four in numerology.  Four is seen as the first Solid Number.  Spatial in scheme or order in manifestation.  Static as opposed to the circular and the dynamic.  Wholeness; totality; completion; solid.  Earth; order.  Rational- relativity and justice. Symbol of measurement.  Foundation.

Native American as well as other cultures ceremonies and ritual acts are repeated in fours.  For example the four cardinal directions, N,S,E,W, the four points of a cross, four rivers that lead to paradise, the symbolic use throughout the Old Testament.  Also Hitlers use of it in the swastika.  The Damba Tree of Life has four limbs which stem from the four sacred streams which represent the four boundless wishes of compassion, affection, love and impartiality. Four is the number of the Earth, symbolized by the square.  Four is the number representing the body, FYI—Three is the number that represents the soul.  The list goes on…there are four Gospels, four cardinal virtues—prudence, fortitude, justice, and temperance, there are four horsemen of the Apocalypse.  Revelation in the Bible uses it frequently…There are four angels standing at the four corners of the Earth, holding back the four winds of the earth.  This type of prophesy is repeatedly used in Revelation as four-fold descriptions.

It is no coincidence that the number four is a powerful and critical number in regards to its choice of use and application.

Love and Hate are both powerful emotions that have built powerful empires, and destroyed them as well.

Let’s start with Hate whose first letter is “H” the eighth letter of our alphabet.

Eight represents the pairs of opposites.  The octagon is the beginning of the transformation of the square into a circle and vice versa.  Eight has significance as a powerful number because it is said to represent completion, and “ALL” possibilities.  To the Buddhist, eight is completion, to the Hindu, eight is the number of chakras and to the Japanese, eight is the “many”.

Eight that also rhymes with Hate is certainly a powerful number, but look at Love and what the number twelve has to offer.

Love whose first letter is “L” is the twelfth letter of our alphabet.

Twelve is a measurement of time and consciousness.  Twelve hours in a day, our day is divided up into two equal measurements of 12 hours.  Twelve months is how we measure our mortal passing in years.  Twelve equals the third dimension 3D.
There are 12 astrological signs in the zodiac.  Twelve is also a significant measuring system…a dozen (12), a gross (12 X 12), a shilling (12 pence) and a foot (12 inches).

The significance of twelve in world religions…

12 days of Yuletide and Christmas.
12 members of the council of the Dalai Lama
12 paladins of Charlemagne
12 Knights of the Round Table
12 Terrestrial Branches to the Chinese
12 Fruits of the Spirit to the Christian
12 gates and foundation stones of the Holy City
12 tribes of Israel
12 Apostles
12 stars on the crown of the woman’s head (Gen 37:9)
12 tribes inscribed on the 12 gates to the New Jerusalem
12 foundations with the names of the 12 Apostles hold up the wall to Jerusalem
12 gods and goddesses of Olympus 12 titans 12 days and nights to the Graeco-Romans
12 precious stones in Aarons breastplate
12 sons of Jacob
12 descendants of Ali to the Islamic
12 disciples to the Mithra
12 days of duel between Chaos and Cosmos according to the Sumero-Semitic

In my humble opinion in comparison of the numbers eight-hate and twelve-love is that to me 8 appears to be very base and targets ones belief system and signifies possibilities.  12 on the other hand is of infinite significance and has far reaching and eternal potential.

Hate in all it’s forms has always targeted the base human emotion and been used for perverted use of power to gain more power and wealth.  Hate is very self centered in the fact that nothing else matters and nobody else matters except what the individual expressing that emotion feels.

Love on the other hand according to the numbers has far reaching and eternal significance.  When you Love you give of yourself and open up yourself to be hurt or rejected.  When you Hate you close yourself off and seal off any attempt of another to break down your barrier, you guard your emotions, you will lash out before you have the time to think about your actions.  Love has the ability to help one grow in ways that one filled with hate will never experience.

They say that numbers do not lie…LOL this may be my personal and bias take on numerology when looking at the difference between Love and Hate, but this is my story and I’m sticking to it.

Transition

~TRANSITION

Life has not been easy, by no means.  It almost seems as if you have become accustomed to looking all around you, wondering what could possibly happen next.  Day to day trials and peril seem to be taking a toll on your sanity.  Oh, to sleep the deep sleep.

How nice it would be to close your eyes to all around you, and to leave all the filth and dirt behind.  Your eyes grow heavy as you smile, thinking of the peace and rest you shall finally have.  Your head grows heavy and your heartbeat slows.

Your mind wanders, thoughts of reuniting with loved ones long since gone, bring a peaceful smile to your face.  You imagine a beautiful sunny day, warmth filling your soul and a light and aerie breeze drifts by, filling you with peace.

Family and friends are calling; you strain to hear their words.  They beckon and call.  How your heart desires to join them.  You struggle against your earthly bounds.  The cords and ties seem to bind your limbs.  You cry as you struggle until they are broken.  You shake loose the remnants of your past and cry with joy.

You turn your face to the warmth, and with joy filling your soul you stretch and leap towards the warmth.

You fall and tumble, and then you regain your senses and stretch forth your newly found wings to catch the breeze.  A thrill as you have never felt fills your body, born anew.

With a grace you had never imagined, you flutter and rise to join the ranks of all the other butterflies.

Message to Singles.

A Message to the Singles of the Church

I have felt very strongly about sharing this particular message with all the Lord’s single Son’s and Daughters.

Living a single life in a Family Church can be difficult and sometimes overwhelming at times without a helpmate to balance out the soul.

The life and times in which we have chosen to be born are full of challenges.

Yet the Lord is ever mindful of our difficulties.

Singles may at times feel alone and frustrated with a burden that never seems to lighten.

Now… more than ever we need to focus on ourselves and CLEANSE the inner vessel.

We must draw closer to the Lord in all things so that we can withstand the temptations and fiery darts of the adversary for without a companion we are only half of what we can be.  Even though the Lord is mindful, we must do ALL we can to prepare ourselves lest we fall.

There is a reason that we are given the word of wisdom, and admonished to remain temple worthy, for there is a tangible danger in loosing sight of that which is most precious.  When we tire of being alone, we may find ourselves compromising our values and make choices that are not in our highest good.

Our thoughts and our actions should always be centered on Christ.  Singles may focus too much on trying to find their eternal companion and in the process leave themselves open to attack by the adversary due to a weakening of their defenses.

Words have power…”in the beginning, he spoke the word, and it was recognized and obeyed”.  Nothing cuts deeper than a sharp tongue.  If words are not spoken to build others up and reinforce heavenly principles it must, needs be, working in favor of the opposition.  Loose yourself in the service of others and place their needs ahead of yours.
The music you listen to either uplifts you or breaks you down.  Even songs that you may not realize, are doing this, and may not be for your highest good.  To be ever vigilant means doing so at all times and in all things.  Often I hear negative remarks about the opposite sex by those frustrated and lonely souls who long for that which was promised.  The remarks affect the attitude and that is transferred to their countenance which diminishes.

Thoughts precede the action, “as a man thinketh so he is…”  Let not ones thoughts be of any other nature than centered on our Heavenly Father.  Our leaders constantly preach and admonish us to diminish the noise in our lives and focus upon Heavenly principles.  When singles are thinking of their trial and hardships associated with being single they loose sight of the lesson that is being taught.  Be long suffering in all things and lose not thy sight on who you are and where you are going.  Eternal relationships may very well be formed during the millennium.  What good profiteth a person to focus their energies on trying to find that individual here and now and spend their energies doing so when that energy can be better spent serving the Lord?  Once again if more effort is spent on desires to find their helpmate while forsaking their Lord and serving him with all their might is that not selfishness?  These are hard ideals that singles struggle with, on the one hand they truly want to find someone, but on the other they can’t seem to trust in the Lord and let the Lord place that individual in their path when He sees fit to do so.  This doesn’t mean stop all efforts, but all things must be done in moderation and the Lord will bless the humble and meek for theirs is the kingdom of God.

God’s light outshines all and we are constantly told to let our light shine forth.  That light is our inner being, our countenance, our core self of who we are.  It will either be shining brightly as we strive to live our lives in accordance with the Lord or it will be diminished.  Those members of the Church that sincerely place the Lord first and live their lives without fears or concern of finding a partner actually attract said partners who recognize the light within them.  To become as God we must learn to fortify our inner vessel to be the force to contain that light and with every good deed and thought we gain in strength and illumination.  “For their countenances shown with a brilliance that I could scarcely withstand.”

Peace, be unto you…and may God govern your thoughts and guide your actions.

Sincerely,

~Leland Vance

Mother of Mine

Mother of Mine

To the wonderful woman who gave me life.
Who taught me to love, through hardship and strife.

The lessons I have learned when so young.
Have molded my life in the song I’ve sung.

I remember all we’ve shared, the times both happy and sad.
I watched how you treated others and seldom got mad.

A better mother I don’t think I will ever find.
You helped mold my character, my soul and my mind.

You’ve worked hard all your life and still do to this day.
You inspire the battery bunny, what more need I say?

To each and every one of us you’ve given all that you are.
In the darkest dark of night, you are a bright and shining star.

You love us and protect us, as you constantly give.
You taught us how to care for others, and how to really live.

You will, and forever more, be the example I will use.
Though I’ll try my whole life, I’ll never fill your shoes.

We all have been given much, and have learned so much to share.
You always are compassionate, even when life’s not fair.

Give me a choice and I’ll take the choice is what you always say.
You keep on keeping on, and I marvel each and every day.

It matters not what each day brings you get up and endure.
I will always be your biggest fan of this much I am sure.

You have taught me by your actions as no words ever can.
How to live my life and how to be, on the right side I will stand.

When you finally find some peace, and rest when the day is won.
I will and forever more, am proud at what you’ve done.

Love,

Your Loving Child.

Healthcare Reform

When 5 cents is valued more than a Human Life.

Healthcare reform was heralded as a necessity to improve our standard of living.  Presidents have come and gone in the past decades; all with some comment or another promising to improve the Healthcare our country currently provided.  We seem to have lost sight of what is the most important facet of the Healthcare Industry.  It appears that we have lost our humanity as we build multi-billion dollar industries, all claiming to be working in our best interest.

We were warned of the side affects of poorly trained and disheartened individuals.  This is a result due to the economic reality that individuals have begun to care more about money, than the worth of a human life or the care one could expect from a care facility.

When we become a society of working just to work and lose our pride in our occupation; the resulting effects of poor service cascade from corporate America, down to the private owned business’ that are still able to survive in a bad economy.

We must ask ourselves as human beings…what is our true worth?  How much can I expect if I were injured and had to spend the rest of my days in a care facility unable to care for myself?  A worse scenario could also present itself if I were terminally ill, and went to a hospice facility to end out my days.

I began years ago to notice the lack of care that health providers had regarding their patients, clients and customers.  Is this lack of concern a result of being over-regulated?  Is this, what is in store for us when the Government gets fully involved in the business of caring for our health and well being? Is this simply a pyramid of problems all cascading downhill to bury the unsuspecting individual trying to get aid?  When did we lose our humanity?  What separates us from rabid dogs fighting over a bone?  The difference lies in the fact that both dogs are able to fight for what they think they deserve.  A patient dependent on someone else; to move them, or assist them, does not have that same ability to ensure they have a fighting chance to get the help they deserve.

Whether the culprit is a large corporation with thousands of outlets and offices or an individual enterprise there is a problem of not getting what one is promised in the world of healthcare.  It is feasible for a National Corporation to advertise that they have many health care centers being awarded the National Bronze Award for their strong commitment to continuous quality improvement…not a difficult award to achieve when you have sub-standard facilities.  This is also obtainable by anyone that states we have a strong commitment; just don’t ask us to prove it.

Integrity, Respect, Compassion, Responsiveness, Pride and Dignity are just a few of the words Health Centers use to describe their commitment.  Who is the advocate for those poor souls that have no family members, or loved ones to check on them, to see if the facility they are paying gives them the treatment that they deserve?

Helping people live better is a statement too flippantly used by centers that really don’t care.  My Sister recently was admitted to a facility owned by a larger Corporation that has facilities all across the Nation.  My Mother and I did due diligence and visited the facility the day prior of the transfer from the Hospital from which my Sister was discharged.  We sat down with a Manager who explained the facility and how they operated; she also answered all our concerns satisfactorily.  Upon being shown the facility we became slightly concerned when we noticed a slight urine smell as we walked down the hallway to view a room.  The room appeared nice and would meet her needs as well as the rest of the facility.  As we walked back to the main entrance we expressed our concern that my Sister had with the extreme duration it took for anyone to respond to her call button at the hospital.  She experienced wait times in excess of 1 hour after pressing the assist button.  In all reality any emergency that could arise may result in death if not addressed quickly.  I will assume all centers have their own protocol as to what length of time is acceptable and humane.  I was told at this particular care facility that the hall has a light that is illuminated outside the patient’s door as well as a light at the cross section of hallways.  As we walked I noticed the light outside the door, and the one at the cross section of hallways as well as the main light board across from the main desk, yet despite the board being lit all the lights being lit and an audible alarm, no one was responding.  I half jokingly mentioned to the manager after she asked if I had any other questions by stating that I was simply curious as to how long it would take someone to respond to the call lights.  She chuckled and said, “Well, they are probably all at dinner,” we turned to leave.  I walked slowly, stopped and paused by the entrance door amazed that still no one was responding to the call.  After 5 minutes I left, hoping that someone had responded, but just didn’t turn off the lights or the annoying alarm.  My advice to my Sister will be, “Don’t have a Life Threatening Emergency during meal times”.

My Sister was transferred early the next morning and by the time my Mother was able to drive over an hour to the facility my Sister was in tears.  The room she was placed in was nothing like the room my Mother and I had been shown the day prior.  My sister was in tears because she could not sleep; her roommate kept her up and constantly complained that my Sister was taking her air.  She then needed to go to the bathroom and there was no bed pan, no wipes, and no wash cloths, nothing to help clean up.  The Nurse that came on shift that was assigned to my Sister’s room was asked by my Sister if she could help her put her leg up on to the bed, it had fallen over the side and my sister had not the strength to get it back upon the bed.  The Nurse replied very shortly, “Can’t you lift your own leg unto the bed?” My Sister asked the same Nurse for a bed pan and had her diaper undone because she had to go to the bathroom.  The Nurse simply said, “I don’t want to start my shift this way.”  She then told my sister to go in her diaper… my Sister has a bed sore on her tailbone and if she let feces into it, it would infect the open sore.  The sheets were dirty; a nice nurse came in and helped my Sister clean up. The main nurse told the subordinate nurse not to do so much for my Sister; the nice nurse stood her ground and stated that she needed it.  My Mother complained to the manager that my Sister’s roommate was very belligerent, and they started to look for another room for her.  They shortly placed her into another room with a terminally ill woman who was very quiet.

My Sister told my Mother that morning when she arrived that she did not feel good, my Mother noticed that she looked bad, and was short of breath.  There are no doctors there, and no information is shared as to what to feed the patients.  She was given pizza for dinner and a lot of water both of which she was not supposed to have.  That breakfast they served her scrambled eggs bacon and juice, toast and jelly, all of which she was not allowed to have.  My Mother complained again about the lack of concern regarding the special diet the hospital had her on.  The response my Mother was given was that they had not the time to review the diet details.  My Mother then went to the kitchen and spoke with someone who was uncaring and rude.  She asked for some Raisin Bran and Milk and fruit for my Sister because she could not eat what was given to her.  They told my Mother that if she wanted something different then she would have to go and buy it herself.  My Mother went to the Supervisor and complained.  The supervisor said that was not true, they should have it available in the kitchen, but obviously they didn’t.  So my Mother went and bought my Sister something to eat.

My mother was angry and upset so she went to speak to the Admitting Manager and told her what had been happening and asked if the nurses are supposed to be kinder than that? How are the people treated that don’t have family that checks on them?  The Manager said, “That is not acceptable at all.  I will send a memo out”.  My mother said, “If I have to be here every single day to make sure my daughter is taken care of, I will.”  She had to even go and ask for wash cloths because none were available. When she stood her ground about the complaint of no bed pan, they finally started to go look for a bed pan.  Eventually my Mother had to leave just before dinner.  The male nurse/order taker made a snide remark to the effect of…” do you want to come with me and check what I am doing?” to which my Mother replied yes and went with him.  He finally stated that he would make sure she got the meal.

My Mother had to leave to go to work.

There is much to be desired in this facility.  There are old men in the lunch room straining to read a pepper package asking if it was sugar.  The same nasty nurse allowing a patient to have sugar that was not supposed to have it.  What type of people are these facilities hiring, and where is their training in how to read diet restrictions?  Not to mention simple and basic nursing and caring for patients.  Sadly this is not an isolated event, and this Corporation has hundreds of facilities all across the Nation.

My advice to all Citizens in this Country we call America the Great, is to make plans early for your own care should you become ill or terminal.  To trust in a facility is to put your trust in an entity that cares not for your welfare or comfort, but merely for their bottom line to the shareholders.  We have sadly become the United States of Apathy.

Father Help Me

Father Help Me

"Father, why am I still alone?"
"Why can't you send me someone that can complete who I am?"
"I am tired of trying to find that person."
"I am having NO luck on my own."
"I no longer trust in my judgement."
"I find someone, only to find out later that they are NOT the person that I thought they were."
"There has to be someone out there...just for me."
"You know me best, PLEASE help me find my eternal companion."

"Child cease to complain your woes unto me, for there are many whom I have sent unto thee."
"You quickly dismiss and cast aside, for you know not where their potential lies."
"Your wants are different, from your needs--soooo...I send you those whose hearts I know."
"They shall not boast in words nor actions, but stay faithful and humble as a steady companion."

"Child I touched their hearts--and to you I did send, a desire to meet without fear to offend."

"To ease your pain, in your heart that must mend. How many more, unto you must I send?"
"They are they who smile, and then say, 'Hi'.  They are they who approach, and look you in the eye."
"They have been behind you, in the line at the store.  They have smiled beside you, as you thought you wanted more."
"They have stopped and asked, 'is everything fine?'. They have even written, to you while you were online."
"Their focus shall be to return unto me...and for that purpose have I sent them to thee."

"Child for eternal joy and happiness unto thee, remember then to place your trust in me..."

Eternal Rest

~Eternal Rest

Be still my beating heart,
I can not stand to be apart.

I’ve searched for the love of which ballads sing.
Eternal love that is sealed with a ring.

Though my enemy desires my soul to keep.
I press ever forward for that which I seek.

One foot after the other in this life I shall walk.
The hands turn ever slowly, on the temporal clock.

Should I find the love of my life long quest.
Only then shall I have my eternal rest.

End of Days

End of Days

At the end of your days, you watch the world as it turned.
You will sit and wonder just what you have learned.

You may be questioned of those things that you saw.
Your eyes will be opened and you will marvel with awe.

The mysteries of Heaven will be made known to you at last.
You will wonder why your time on earth, went by you really fast.

Then the dawn of understanding will settle down upon your mind.
Answers to some questions you never thought you would find.

It then will all make sense to you, our Heavenly Fathers Plan.
The joy that is in store for you a Woman with her Man.

Fear not your journey through this life, a worthy man no where in sight.
For in the eternal realm of things… everything is made all right.

There is a Strange Feeling in the Air.

A sparrow does not fall and I not know it.  How do you think this is possible?  How is it that a Mother intuitively knows when one of her children has need of Her?  Science has proven that we are all interconnected by an unseen force.  Strong emotion can be felt by others and especially by those that are close to us.  Einstein stated that we as Human Beings are the ones that have placed limits and boundaries on what we understand as Reality.  Whatever your personal understanding is of God, Mankind has always acknowledged a Higher Power…even Atheists.  The Universe and the Eternities are governed by Laws.  Consider today your lives; and which Laws are constantly in motion around you, that make it possible for one to Feel halfway across the Globe whenever something catastrophic happens.

Who and What am I?

Consider this for just a moment.  Science has proven that we as human beings are comprised of positive and negative electrical charges.  We have electrons and neurons racing around and we emit a unique vibration.  Also consider the fact that in the 1950's the start of the Baby Boomers and well into the 1960's we went from being grounded to the earth with leather soled shoes to being insulated by rubber soled shoes.  Ask any Electrician about the importance of grounding an electrical current. Now consider the fact that since that time marker we have seen an increase in MS, Arthritis, and other maladies. 1966 is when Jerry Lewis started his first MS Telethon.  Coincidence?  Last case in point...Our bodies are made up primarily of water.  That same electrician you spoke with earlier will tell you that water conducts electricity...Things that make you go Hmmmmmm. What exactly are YOU, and why is this important?  Life is a pursuit of Knowledge, time for you to do some homework.  Stay tuned for other daily random ramblings.

Compassion

~Compassion

How much love can one person give?
You love unconditionally in the life that you live.
How much difference can a single person make?
I marvel how you give… and simply don’t take.

You have suffered through trial, and you’ve suffered travail.
Somehow you continue… and you give without fail.
You give and you give; unselfishly you give more.
You miraculously give… much more than before.

A flower that is drying in the sun you will water,
You are living your life as a true Heavenly Daughter.
Your love is never-ending… you are who you are.
To the desolate and pained, you are a shining star.

The stray cats and dogs, you feed without thought.
When someone has need, you see what you’ve got.
Children will trust you with their fears and concern.
The love of our Savior in your heart it does burn

Your heart goes out and tears fill your eyes.
Every time you hear when somebody cries.
How much more can one person do?
I don’t know, but I’m thankful I know you…

The many eyes that watch you, you really never know.
How you touch the lives of others with compassion that you sow.
The difference you have made in life, you just don’t understand.
You are by far of greater worth, than those who think they’re grand.

A clear and simple message to the heavens you did send…
And I will always be your friend until the very end.
And when the hour strikes, and the sorting has begun.
You will be, on the side, of our Heavenly Fathers Son.

Born in Tribulation

~Born in Tribulation

Wherefore our people have been born in tribulation,
Our lives pass away as if it were a dream.

We have had to constantly fortify our defenses,
For our brethren who delight in wickedness seek our destruction.

We wander in a world full of evil and whoredoms,
Devising ways in which to reclaim our brethren to the truth.

Truth is harder to distinguish in our time,
It has been twisted and perverted by the sly one.

We fear for our children lest they too be led down dark paths.
They are beset daily with the entrapping's of a temporal world.

As parents we pray for strong backs and shoulders for them to bear the weight.
Try as we might to protect them from the twisted lies and truth that abound.

Many have fallen and the numbers continue to rise.
Wo be unto Israel the branch that has been grafted in begins to bear bad fruit.

As the words of our fathers ring in our ears we diligently dig and prune our vineyards.
The Master works beside us to reclaim that which is delightsome and good.

How great our joy as we begin to see the fruit of our labors.
We a lonesome and solemn people have kept the commandments of the Lord.

All that has been written and spoken of by the Prophets will be fulfilled,
The day speedily cometh when our labors will end and we shall be judged of our works.

The wicked will be astonished exceedingly as they fall to the earth.
Every knee shall bend and every heart will know that Jesus is the Christ.

We have endured and have fought a good fight,
Truth will be known for there will be knowledge restored.

The time to reunite with loved ones will be joyous indeed.
For what was promised, will be given unto Abrahams’ seed.

3rd Nephi's Prayer for Our Generation

3rd Nephi's Prayer for Our Generation:

And it came to pass that Nephi went throughout all the land of the New Zion,
thus pondering the state of affairs of the people of this Chosen Generation.
And it came to pass as he was thus pondering--
being much cast down because of the iniquity of the people.
Those that were chosen to be brought down in this dispensation.
Their murdering and their secret works of darkness
and their plundering and all manner of iniquities--
amazed at how quickly the children of Man forget the lessons of their fathers.
Yea they are like unto the Lamanites of old who rebelled
because of the traditions of their fathers,
and like unto the Nephites who waxed strong in iniquity because of their riches and prosperity.
How they do strive to prosper in a land for their own means.
Placing all manner of importance in that gain of material things.
They wax strong temporally, as Satan slowly binds them with the chains of desire
for those things which can not bring happiness.

And it came to pass that Nephi did cry unto the Lord, saying:

O Lord, do not suffer that this people shall be destroyed by unrighteous desire;
but let them be plagued by creditors, and financial hardship,
let them fear for their employment to stir them up in remembrance of the Lord their God,
and perhaps they will repent and turn unto thee, with humble heart and contrite spirit.
Then they shall remember the words of their fathers,
"Inasmuch as ye shall keep my commandments ye shall prosper in the land".

O Lord, do not suffer that this people shall be lost to desire by the natural man,
and tempt not one another by immodest dress and physical enticing;
but rather curse them with ravages of age, poor vision, and failing bodies.
Smite them with an unforgiving sun that will blister and peel their skin.
Then shall they seek to cover themselves and cease to be a temptation upon others,
and with those that look with lust in their eyes upon someone other than their spouse,
cause a blindness that brings them to remembrance of the vows which they have taken one with another.

O Lord, do not suffer that this people shall be left standing in the field when thou appears again clothed in glory,
pierce them to their core so that they realize the error of their thinking when they say,
"All is well in Zion" yet they refuse thy Holy Callings, and fail to give aid to a neighbor.
Strike them with fear and trembling to bring to remembrance the sin of omission for those acts left undone.

O Lord, do not suffer that this people shall be utterly destroyed from within,
by the wicked and those that act as agents of the devil;
instead let those righteous feel an outpouring of thy love
and buoy them up in their afflictions, strengthen their spirit and their faith
that they be like unto Moroni, Helaman and Alma.
Raise them up to be servants unto thee, to speak with power unto the converting of thousands.
Let them falter not in their belief nor in their faith but let them remember the lessons of their fathers
and the blessings upon the righteous.  Give unto them the courage to act and the power to speak with authority,
unto the fulfilling of thy promise of the great work which shall roll forth in these Latter Days.
Grant unto them the desire to cleanse the inner vessel first then the outer.

O Lord, inasmuch as they repent, have mercy upon their souls,
wilt thou turn away thine anger, yea, thy fierce anger,
and cause that they may know peace and joy after their trials.

And Now, O Lord, wilt thou grant as I have desired as I mourn for the iniquity that abounds from within--this thy chosen people.
Grant unto me my hearts desire which is to see all thy sons and daughters returned to thee. From thy humble servant
who has witnessed much grant this last desire that they endure to the end and pay heed to the voices from the dust.

O Lord I am ready to return to thee, nevertheless Not my Will, but Thy Will be done.

My MacGyver Dad

My MacGyver Dad
Dad,
I’ve been around the world and back and still can not find,
a man so strong and true as you, God made one of a kind.

I judge all other men to you, but find no hope to tell…
this is because I realize, you just were made too well.

I hope one day to finally find, my Daddy’s twin to love,
for when I do, I’ll know it’s true, my BLESSING from above.

But when I find my Daddy’s kind, I just want you to know…
you are the most important man, who loved and helped me grow.

Dear God

Dear God,
Why did you take my daddy?  It wasn’t his time to go…
God why did you take my daddy?  You know how I loved him so…
Please tell me that he’s happy.  Please tell me he’s okay.
Let him know I think of him, each and every day.
Take away this hurt I feel.  Take away this pain.
Take him to a better place, where your knowledge he will gain.
I lay this at your feet my Lord, please ease my aching mind.
Please answer this prayer for me, that the gospel I will find.
Please let my daddy know, I miss his love and caring ways.
Please let him know I loved him, even on my very worst days.
Lord, please watch and care for him, take him under your wing…
I know that he’s in heaven now, hearing the angels sing.

I Believe

~I Believe

I believe in strength from within...
I believe in help from above...
I believe we're saved from our sin...
By our Heavenly Fathers Love...

I believe he knows us, one by one...
I believe he loves his daughters and sons...
I believe he cries, when we stumble and fall...
I believe he knows we walk once we crawl...

I know that he loves us...he forever will...
I know though we fall, his hands outstretched still...
I know that we stumble, as we are learning to walk...
I know that we should praise him, as soon as we can talk...

I see his heart break when he thinks we've forgotten...
Of the sacrifice made, by his only begotten.
I see concourses of angels watching down from above...
Wondering why we can't see our heavenly fathers love...

His love is the ocean, as it rises and falls...
His love is as sweet, as a meadow lark call...
His love is the breeze, as it brushes our skin...
His love has freed us, from all of our sin...

Our Father's Love

~Our Fathers Love

Can you feel our father’s love, as you watch the sun set?
Gentle encouragement for expectations yet met.
Listen to the waves as they sing to your soul,
you need not worry to pay the toll.

Life’s trials and challenges seem to melt away,
as you witness the birth of a child today.
The joy of holding a furry little critter,
helps one take the joy with the bitter.

The multicolored beauty of a newly formed rainbow,
remind us how much we can learn and grow.
Our father has given us all that we need,
Take this day and be thankful indeed.
