Compassion

~Compassion

How much love can one person give?
You love unconditionally in the life that you live.
How much difference can a single person make?
I marvel how you give… and simply don’t take.

You have suffered through trial, and you’ve suffered travail.
Somehow you continue… and you give without fail.
You give and you give; unselfishly you give more.
You miraculously give… much more than before.

A flower that is drying in the sun you will water,
You are living your life as a true Heavenly Daughter.
Your love is never-ending… you are who you are.
To the desolate and pained, you are a shining star.

The stray cats and dogs, you feed without thought.
When someone has need, you see what you’ve got.
Children will trust you with their fears and concern.
The love of our Savior in your heart it does burn

Your heart goes out and tears fill your eyes.
Every time you hear when somebody cries.
How much more can one person do?
I don’t know, but I’m thankful I know you…

The many eyes that watch you, you really never know.
How you touch the lives of others with compassion that you sow.
The difference you have made in life, you just don’t understand.
You are by far of greater worth, than those who think they’re grand.

A clear and simple message to the heavens you did send…
And I will always be your friend until the very end.
And when the hour strikes, and the sorting has begun.
You will be, on the side, of our Heavenly Fathers Son.

  1. A good friend of mine asked me if I could come up with something about compassion and this is what came to me.
