A Day in the Life of a FROG.

~A Day in the Life of a FROG

Well I have seen better days, got too close to a female the other day that wasn't the same species as I...almost contracted warts, she was a toad in frog makeup.  Then the Lilly pad I was singing on broke loose of it's moorings and I found myself adrift in the lake heading to the swift water exiting the lake.  Legs don't fail me now I said as I jumped from log to unknown clump of something floating then to my horror realized it was an alligator...it was truly a Jeff Foxworthy moment, bumpy log with hungry eyes staring at me was my first clue.  Needless to say I quickly gathered my wits about me as well as my legs and hopped on the next boat out of that crocky cruise.  Finally made it out of peril to realize I landed on a bank full of Culinary Cooks on an excursion to find ying to complete their yang.  I didn't like the way they were looking at my legs so I hopped here and there and finally found safe refuge back in the lake holding my breath under some cattails while hearing them speak very quickly with the water mute turned on high. I realized in that moment that the gift of tongues comes to us when we least expect it.  While on the bank having a Texas showdown with them I actually understood what they were saying to me..."my, what big eyes you have, little froggie", I replied, "all the better to see the hunger in your eyes", I said as I stuck out my tongue and made my escape.
My life is never dull.

  1. I wrote this because I like frogs. All for various reasons. One is that is my Native American Totem. Second I was on the Scuba Team in the Service...hence Frogmen. Third it is the hopeless romantic in me as I view myself a frog prince waiting for that magical kiss.
